Just had an email from a friend regarding the Nokia N70 and Flash Lite. Great phone, but there is something that had me googling for a few minutes. That is installing certain un-signed apps onto the phone. Newer series 60 phones do not allow this by default, that includes the Flash Lite 1.1 player. You receive the following message: "installation security error".

To cut a long story short simply go to 'Tools > Manager > Options > Settings' and turn Software installation' > "On".

Hi!
I just bought a N70. Where can I download a Flash Lite Player? It's not in the phone pre-installed.

Hi Stedi,

Just visit the Macromedia (Adobe) store and you can select it from a list of available software.

Yes, I've visited the MM shop. There are only models 3600, 3620, 3650, 3660, 6260, 6600, 6620, 6630, 6670, 7610, N-GAGE QD and N-GAGE listed under Nokia. Nokia N70 is not in the list, that's why I was asking for the link. Do you know what version of the player people are using in their N70?

The signing process is only required if you want access to some of the new advanced features available in S60 v3. Normal applications install fine, though you get a security warning. Properly signed applications install without any prompts.
